Rock 'n' Roll

Tracing its origins back to the 1950s, the era of Buddy Holly and Elvis Presley, rock 'n' roll dancing has evolved as much as the music that inspired it. OUDC currently teaches two styles: modern and authentic. The modern style is show-stopping, fast-paced, energetic and incorporates gravity-defying acrobatics. The authentic style is ideal for social dancing and much closer to the 50s heritage of rock 'n' roll. Its slower pace allows for greater expression and free styling.
