Dear Dancers,
Our full timetable starts again this Sunday (15th January), with a couple of minor changes. Salsa dancers please check the timetable; in particular the 8-10pm classes on Thursdays are no longer running. Zumba will unfortunately not be running this week, but will return as soon as we can find a teacher. If you fancy trying something new this term why not try swing:
Learn to dance to contemporary Rock music with this version of West Coast Swing from Paris. 8 week beginners' course Wednesdays 8-9PM with Bea, Dr Thomas Lessinnes, and OUDC's own Samantha Roberts.
Class information including venues and descriptions of each class can be found by following the links on the left of this page.
Social Dancing returns to Talbot Hall at LMH this week; if you haven't been before then now is the perfect time to give it a go! All dancers are welcome, see below for more details.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to email the secretary (secretary@oudancesport.co.uk) or our club president (president@oudancesport.co.uk) if you don't find the information you need.
Finally, the production 'Barefaced Night' is looking for dancers and musicians. Please see below for more details.

SOCIAL DANCING
Every Sunday between 8pm and 10pm we have a social dance. This takes place at Talbot Hall (Lady Margaret Hall) and costs just £2 for the two hours. All are welcome from beginners to experienced dancers, and for just £2 there's really no excuse not to come along! There will be a DJ playing a variety of Ballroom and Latin music, with the occasional Salsa or Argentine Tango thrown in. It's a great way to meet other dancers in Oxford, and to practise your steps, or even learn a few new ones. Most of our classes focus on learnt routines, but Social Dancing is a skill in itself- learning to lead or follow is an important part of partner dancing.

Practice Halls are free of charge. The Main Floor of the Iffley Road Sports Centre will be available at the following

Saturdays: 8.30am - 10.30am

Looking for:
Cast: 10 dancers/performers with movement experience, Musicians
Fayra’s true love is cursed to be a bear by day, a man only in the dark of night. She has never seen his face. When the temptation to look becomes too great, she loses that which she loves more than anything. She is left with only his first question to her: “Have you ever seen more clearly than you see now…?” The Barefaced Night is an innovative new piece of dance theatre combining movement, music, poetry and storytelling to retell a Scandinavian folk tale. Movement is at the heart of the show and we’re looking for 10 more dancers to round out a talented cast. Most of the music for the show will be live and we are also looking for more musicians to join the musical team.
