Rueda

In the 1950s ‘Salsa Rueda’ or ‘Rueda de Casino’ was developed in Havana, Cuba. ‘Rueda’ means ‘wheel’ in Spanish and, in this style of dance, pairs of dancers form a circle with dance moves called out by one designated person. Many of the moves involve rapidly swapping partners.
