Rumba
Related to the genre of Afro-Cuban music, the rumba is the slowest of the international Latin dances. Danced at a tempo of about 27 bars per minute, it tells the age-old story of the woman’s attempt to attract, reject and ultimately dominate the man of her choice. Many dancers consider rumba the most erotic and sensual Latin dance, on account of its slow rhythm and the hip movement.
